With an award ceremony taking place at 6:45 pm inside the auditorium, the Annual Student Show is a great celebration of work made by our students. Each year more than 400 works are submitted and only some of the works are selected by the judges to be displayed. This year’s jurors are Benny Sanders, Rebecca Zinc and Emily Bennett.

About the 2017 Jurors:

Rebecca Zink is from Indianapolis, IN. She received her BFA in Metalsmithing and Visual Communications from Ball State University in 2005 and completed her MFA in Metalsmithing at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Upon her completion of graduate school in 2017, Zinc was awarded the 2017-2018 Stutz Artist Association Residency.

Benny Sanders is a full time artist working in Indianapolis, IN. After graduating with a BFA in printmaking from Ball State University in 2006, Sanders took a break from artmaking and toured professionally with musical acts for over ten years. Sanders has had 5 ambitious solo painting exhibitions since July 2016, he also opened a gallery and teaches private painting lessons.

Emily Bennett is a sculptor from Terre Haute, IN. She received her MFA in May 2017 from Herron school of Art and Design where she now works as an adjunct professor. She has been featured in Fiber Art Now magazine, was awarded the Suzie Coles Memorial Grant from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation and was most recently awarded a full scholarship to attend the Cuttyhunk Island Residency.
