The Center presents Diana Krall: Turn Up the Quiet Tour
Fans can expect a fresh approach to the Great American Songbook when pianist-singer Diana Krall and her band play the Palladium on their Turn Up the Quiet World Tour.
The multiple Grammy® Award-winning artist is touting material from her latest Verve Records album, Turn Up the Quiet, which reimagines standards such as Cole Porter’s “Night and Day,” Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies” and Johnny Mercer’s “Dream.” Mojo magazine called the release an “elegant, swinging and triumphant return to her jazz roots.”
A native of Canada, Krall is the only jazz singer to have eight albums debut at the top of the Billboard Jazz Albums chart. To date, she has received five Grammy® Awards and eight Juno® Awards while earning nine gold, three platinum and seven multiplatinum album designations.
“Diana Krall … has reimagined 11 songs of jazz and American classics to create an upbeat, atmospheric, and utterly charming collection.” – Town & Country
