Renowned theatrical director Emma Griffin comes to the Indianapolis Opera to teach a Master Class open to the public as well as theater students and professionals.
Emma Griffin is theater and opera director based in Cincinnati and New York City. She boasts a wide repertoire of opera and theater productions both in the standard repertory and new contemporary pieces. Hailed by the New York Times for her “deeply resonant”, “intelligent”, and “darkly enchanting” staging, Griffin’s productions have been seen in venues across the country. She is currently on faculty as the Professor of Opera Stage Direction at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and is a member of both the SDC and AGMA.
