A diverse group photography show at Indiana Landmarks Center explores a range of interpretation and technique, from visual journalism to the experimental.
Experience “a day in the life” through photography at Indiana Landmarks’ First Friday show on April 6. The group show will focus on diverse interpretations of everyday life and showcase the work of many local artists whose photography styles range from visual journalism to surrealism.
The artists represented in the show include Anthony Armstrong, Courtney Brooks, Ellie Sophia Brown, Damon Butler, Chase Cannon, Cameron Dawson, Tomas Howie, Wendell Lowe, Jessica McDaniel, Christine Merchent, Shaun Niles, Corey Smith, Jon Smith, Darrell Staggs and Waterpop Studio.
Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available during our First Friday reception, 6-9 p.m., on April 6, when you can also tour Indiana Landmarks Center at 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis. Built as a Methodist church in the nineteenth century, the restored and adapted structure holds theaters and a reception hall in addition to the gallery and Indiana Landmarks’ headquarters.
