Free Spring Concert presented by Indianapolis Early Music

Presented by Indianapolis Early Music at Indiana History Center

Performing in a program of works for two baroque violins will be Han Xie of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Allison Nyquist a preeminent performer of baroque and modern violin. Han received his Bachelor of Music from Eastman School of Music and his Master of Music from the Peabody Conservatory where he also was awarded the Master of Music Degree in baroque violin. He was a student of Mark Cudek, Artistic Director of Indianapolis Early Music, and while there Han was concert master and concerto soloist in the conservatory’s baroque orchestra, the Baltimore Baroque Band. This concert will be an opportunity to hear him play the baroque violin. Nyquist is noted for the beauty of her playing as well as for her versatility. She has performed throughout North America and has been a frequent favorite at the Indianapolis Early Music Festivals.
