Ensemble Caprice with the Bach Society of Minnesota and Echoing Air Vocal will include the Ascension Oratorio BWV11 and Matthias Maute’s arrangement of Bach’s Italian Concerto for recorder and strings.
Matthias Maute has said that “Bach’s music is the promise of a profound experience that carries us to beautiful and unforeseen places.” As director of the Bach Society, he and they are known for being deeply committed to communicating the depths and passions of Bach’s compositions through period instruments and historic practices that ignite an audience’s fascination and appreciation. This will be the final concert of the 2018 Indianapolis Early Music Festival.
