What is a Black Woman? Why are there Black Women? Who are Black Woman? Is being a Black Woman a condition? Is it something that you become? Are they beautiful or ugly? Are they smart or dumb or something in between? Is there any purpose to Black Women? Do you seriously have to ask? Why ask?

Okay, because Black Women have had to survive and thrive through the crudly romanticized statecraft of race and sex and love and fear and other crap. Who cares?! Point is…Black Women have to define who and what they are and where they desire to be. Because there ain’t a definition that has covered it.

“The Black Women is___” is an experience. Photography, finely decorated with other forms of expression and art for patrons to enjoy. The bold and beautiful attendants of the exhibition will be able to observe several pieces that explore realities of Black Women. They will be able to participate in interactive pieces. They will be able to share with others in this feast of music, spirits, and entertainment. Network and/or chill. Come with someone. Come alone. Leave with someone. Leave alone.
