James Moriarty will conduct a Music Video Filmmaking Workshop for the Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) Digital Media Lab at 23 East Main St, Carmel, IN 46032 on May 19, 26 and June 2. Participants will learn by helping to make a music video, which will be premiered at the Carmel Film Forum on  August 4. Participants will be encouraged to create their own music videos with the techniques used in the workshop and will be given time in each session to speak one on one with the instructor to discuss their personal projects.

CLASS 1 – Introduction to Music Video Workshop at the DML
(May 19 from 10AM to 1PM)

• How to choose a song for your music video
• How to storyboard
• How to shoot a music video

CLASS 2 – On Location Production at the CCPL Training and Activity Room

(May 26 from 10AM to 5PM)

• Videoing lip-synching to music
• Green screen and light painting animation filmmaking techniques

CLASS 3 – Post Production at the DML

(June 2 from 10AM to 1PM)

• How to edit a music video using Final Cut Studio Pro

COST: The workshop is FREE to Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) members and Public 

Library Access Card (PLAC) holders.
