STEPP ♪ WALKER ♪ PROJECT – Is one of the hottest acts in Indianapolis and the Midwest. James Walker Jr. and Rodney Stepp have been a musical team since their early teen years. Steve Cooper (EVI) and Rodney have played and recorded albums together for 20 years. Add Christopher “Duck” Alexander, (Drums) to the mix and you have Smooth Jazz, with a twist of R&B. Rodney & James have composed songs for advertising, artist, films and many other projects. This award-winning duo has won Billboard Awards, Addy Awards for major advertising campaigns and many other prestigious awards for their contributions in the music industry.

Rodney Stepp is the Chief Creative Officer for Rodney Stepp Music Productions, an award-winning Production Company in Indianapolis. Rodney was the keyboard player and assistant musical director for The SPINNERS in the 70’s & 80’s and produced seven songs on the group in 1995. Rodney is also the keyboard player/singer for the rock group THE FLYING TOASTERS. Rodney has been recognized by the United States Congress receiving a Congressional Record Award for contributions of music to the local, regional and national community. Rodney also wrote “Don’t Foul Out” for the National Basketball Association and the Indiana Pacers and wrote the theme song for the World Fire & Police Games in 2001.

James Walker, Jr. (JOON) is a National Recording Artist for AZ IZ Records and the former lead singer for the group TOY FACTORY in Indianapolis and also has been recognized for his writing and vocal talents. Joon as affectionately and professionally known by his fans has been compared to the late and great Luther Vandross for years. Joon has a smooth delivery and is one of the most gifted and talented vocalist in the nation. Joon and Rodney have written songs for The SPINNERS, United Way of America Theme Song featuring Mary Wilson of The SUPREMES, Indianapolis Recorder Theme, Hoosier and Kentucky Lottery and many other corporate clients.
Steve Cooper plays EVI (Electronic Valve Instrument) and Trumpet and is a crowd favorite. Steve mesmerizes our audiences every performance with his music ability and extraordinary talent. A graduate from Berkley School of Music, Steve is simply the best in talent, performance and personality. Steve also works with Rodney in the studio recording and writing songs for their National Recording Act, Rodney Stepp & Steve Cooper. They have two albums on the market currently and working on new music for 2017.

Christopher “Duck” Alexander, Drums and Vocals is a dynamite artist, drummer, singer and exceptionally talented. “Duck” is the heartbeat and pulse of the group and sings lead and background vocals. “Duck” is the drummer for Living Proof and also plays at Eastern Star Church, Fishers location.

STEPP ♪ WALKER ♪ PROJECT – performs smooth jazz, R&B and pop songs. The group performs vocally and instrumentally, and has a very diverse repertoire. Sullivan’s, Daddy Jacks, Hamilton County Parks, Purdue University, Shiraz, Detour, Mo’s, JW Marriott, Champps, Tastings, Memories, Moondog, Urban League, Indiana Black Expo, Mayor of Indianapolis, Governor of Indiana, Cocktail Wedding Receptions and many corporate and private events are just a few venues where they soulfully Jazz/Rock/R&B their audience.
