Talk of the Town featuring Kevin Kling telling the Best Summer Ever

Presented by Storytelling Arts of Indiana and Indiana Historical Society at Indiana History Center

Kevin is perhaps best known for his role on NPR’s All Things Considered.  He is also well known for his stage performances such as Tales from the Charred Underbelly of the Yule Log.  He is also an accomplished author and playwright, and has five published books.  He has received numerous accolades and endowments, Including The National Endowment for the Arts, The McKnight Foundation, The Minnesota State Arts Board, The Bush Foundation, The Jerome Foundation, and many more.

Talk of the Town is your chance to support Storytelling Arts of Indiana’s year-round outreach programs, including bedside storytelling at a local children’s hospital, summer storytelling at 15-urban day camps throughout Indianapolis, the monthly As I Recall Storytelling guilds at the College Ave Branch Library and the Hancock County Public Library. Talk of the Town includes Kevin’s performance, a chance to participate in the mission bids and an intermission with a variety of desserts.

Before the Curtain
 reception is provides you with a unique opportunity to meet and mingle with Kevin Kling before the show, 6 – 7 p.m.   The event is held in the Stardust Terrace Café.  Appetizers are provided by Hoaglin Catering, with drinks from Mass Ave. Wine and St. Joseph’s Brewery and Pub House.  This event is limited to 50 tickets.
