"Inside Outside" - An Exhibition by Clark and Satch

Presented by Satch Art Space at Unknown

At SATCH ART SPACE – Guest artist, Kerrigan James Clark and Satch combine their talents for Inside Outside, an exhibition of Clark’s contemporary mixed media paintings and Satch’s assemblages created from recycled material.

Clark is an outstanding emerging artist from Cumberland, Maryland.  In the spring of 2018, Clark received his Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana.

Incorporating collage elements from the everyday with paints and drawing, Clark’s paintings inject the ordinary into impossible environments thereby shifting the way we perceive what we’ve grown so accustomed to.

Clark and Satch will be present for the opening reception on First Friday, September 7, and on Saturday, September 8 from 1 to 3 p.m.  Other times by appointment.  The closing reception will be held on First Friday, October 5, 2018.

SATCH ART SPACE is a woman artist owned, independent art gallery that has produced and hosted over twenty exhibitions and events since opening in 2015.  After enjoying several years of gallery representation, Julie “Satch” Kern, decided to open her own gallery to share her assemblage art and paintings.  Because of her love for creativity and art, she expanded her space to present successful exhibits such as Long Live Frida, Indianapolis Punk Rock and Das Plakat, Art of the Poster 1910-1920 Berlin.  She has also produced a world class blues music series and exhibitions of outstanding emerging artists.

About Satch:  For her entire life Satch has been making art.  Painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry making and assemblage are all directions that she has explored.

Weary of the corporate world that was an unrelenting series of glass ceilings, Satch took her leave and began pursuing her artistic vision.

Employing abstract painting and assemblages, and combinations thereof, Satch creates art as an autobiographical release and to process perceptions about life’s path.

Satch’s art is in many private collections and she has shown in numerous solo exhibitions as well as group exhibitions in London, Chicago, Indianapolis, and Union Pier, Michigan.
