Who will win the Gold Medal? Come hear the finalists compete at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis!

Opening Ceremonies:
Before one note of competition is sounded, each Quadrennial features the true stars of the event – its Participants. Forty of the most talented young violinists from 13 countries across four continents are brought before Indianapolis to be honored with an Opening Ceremony worthy of the Olympics. Witness the grandeur of this inspiring event and welcome the 40 Participants to the 10th Quadrennial International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Attire is black tie.
August 31, 6 pm
Cost: $175 and up.

Preliminaries:
Each violinist performs a 45-minute recital of masterworks by Bach, Paganini, Mozart, and a work from the encore repertoire.
September 2-5, 9:30 am-12:40 pm, 2-6:50 pm
Cost Per Session: $15.

Semi-Finals:
Each of the sixteen participants who advance from the Preliminaries present a full recital showcasing 19th and 20th century works from the standard repertoire. This round also includes the World Premiere of the Suite No. 3 for Solo Violin by American composer William Bolcom.
September 7-10, 1:30-4:15 pm, 7:30-10:15 pm

2014 Gold Medalist Jinjoo Cho with pianist Hyun Soo Kim:
2014 IVCI Gold Medalist Jinjoo Cho returns to Indianapolis in a recital featuring the suite by Britten and the Sonata No.1 by Fauré, plus the Tango Song and Dance by André Previn and Chausson’s glorious Poème. Jinjoo Cho has continued her 2014 success by performing on many illustrious concert stages around the world. Seating will be extremely limited.
September 11, 8 pm
Tickets: $25. This event takes place at Butler University.

Classical Finals with the East Coast Chamber Orchestra:
Each evening, three of the six Finalists who advanced from the Semi-Finals collaborate with the East Coast Chamber Orchestra in concertos by Haydn or Mozart plus works by Kreisler..
September 12-13, 8 pm
Tickets: $15-$30. This event takes place at Butler University.
