Married 2 1/2 years with a son 15 months old and just finishing her residency as a naturopathic physician, Jenni Kleinman Berebitsky at age 33, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease). In Jenni’s book, ALS Saved My Life, she boldly shares what her life has been like with ALS. She takes us through the emotional realization that acceptance of the uncontrollable is the only way to keep true to spirit.

The program will include readings from the book, Paul W. Nethercott’s film Grateful: The Jenni Berebitsky Story documenting Jenni’s story, the chance to meet Jenni and have the book signed.

The JCC’s 20th annual Ann Katz Festival of Books & Arts is a festival spanning over three weeks featuring local, national and international authors, films and filmmakers, performing and fine artists. This year’s Ann Katz Festival of Books and Arts runs October 17 through November 12, 2018.
