Halloween at The Sunken Beer Garden

Halloween at The Sunken Beer Garden

Presented by Big Car and Indy Parks at Garfield Park Conservatory and Sunken Gardens

If you haven’t made it to the Sunken Beer Gardens on Thursday nights, this is one spooky evening you won’t want to miss! We have put together a thrilling night to get you ready for Halloween! Enjoy music from local artist Michael Raintree followed by a silent scary movie — “Fall of the House of Usher” (1928) based on the gothic short story by Edgar Allan Poe— with a live sound track! Don’t forget to grab a bite to eat from Beach Bum Barbecue and get creative with Halloween art activities. All tips for the night go to Bean Creek Neighborhood Association!

Celebrate one of our city’s most beautiful gardens and public places every Thursday evening. Play some games, relax, get creative, and socialize at this family friendly place while taking in the sunset and fountains. And enjoy local craft beer and great music. In partnership with Indianapolis Parks Foundation, Indy Parks and Recreation, Friends of Garfield Park, Inc., Sun King Brewing Company, Centerpoint Brewing, Upland Brewing Company, and Flat12 Bierwerks Indianapolis. Part of Big Car’s Spark Placemakingprogram with promotional support from 99.1 WQRT FM.

Kids and dogs are allowed. You can bring in a picnic. All ages. Beer is for 21-plus only and must be purchased. Otherwise free to attend. Some seating available, including hammocks. You can bring your own blanket or lawn chair. The Conservatory will be open to visitors with restrooms at no charge. You can always decorate and write your own special sunken garden postcards that we’ll mail for you for free.
