Star-Cross'd Lovers: The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet

Come to the world premiere “Page to Stage” production of “Star-Cross’d Lovers: The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet,” a Shakespearean opera by IU composer Don Freund.

The Indianapolis Opera Resident Artists and other local singers will perform highlights of this opera, with original Shakespeare text set to a modern musical score played by the IU New Music Ensemble.

Stay after the performance to give feedback, impressions, and become part of the process of preparing this opera for its world premiere full mainstage production!
