Volunteer Recruiting Session

Volunteer Recruiting Session

Presented by Indiana Landmarks at Indiana Landmarks Center

Would you like to know Indianapolis in a deeper way? Show it off to visitors? Help save and revitalize historic places? Inspire a love of history, landmarks, and learning in the next generation? Indiana Landmarks has volunteer opportunities that may appeal to you! Come on December 6 to learn about volunteer roles, especially as a volunteer tour guide leading walking and bike tours of Indianapolis and its historic places for school children, convention groups, and the local and visiting public.

In addition to leading tours, Indiana Landmarks volunteers usher and assist in special events at Indiana Landmarks Center, do research, and work in our office. Drop in to our fast-paced recruiting session for quick conversations with volunteers and staff about the volunteer roles and to tell us what interests you. You’ll also learn about our volunteer training and benefits.

Admission Info

The informational event takes place at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis, where you’ll find easy parking in our lot and on the street. The center occupies a restored nineteenth-century church repurposed as a cultural center with theaters and reception halls. We’ll serve refreshments at the recruiting session, held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The event is free with your RSVP below by December 5 or by calling Gwendolen Nystrom, Director, Volunteers and Heritage Experiences, 317-822-7950.
