Indiana Plein Air Painters Association presents a one-day sale featuring high-end art priced for gift giving and sold right off the wall at Indiana Landmarks Center
On December 7, Indiana Landmarks’ gallery doubles as a holiday bazaar where visitors can immediately take home what they buy. The One-Day Holiday Show and Sale presented by Indiana Plein Air Painters Association features high-end art priced for gift giving and sold right off the wall.
You’ll find landscapes and still-lifes by more than a dozen artists, including Beverly Bruntz, Mary Ann Davis, Corrinne Hull, Pam Newell, Donna Shortt and Karen Stanley, as well as affordable prints, note cards, jewelry and scarves.
Plein air artists create their works outdoors, on the scene, rather than from photographs. All artists will be present, so visitors can get background information on the paintings. A complimentary shuttle bus will be available between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. to transport patrons among four galleries: Indiana Landmarks’ Rapp Family Gallery (1201 Central Ave.), Harrison Center (1501 N. Delaware Ave.), Gallery 924 (924 N. Pennsylvania St.), and Stutz Business & Arts Center (212 W. 10th St.).
Complimentary snacks and beverages will be available at the First Friday reception. Guests can also tour Indiana Landmarks Center at 1201 Central Avenue in Indianapolis. Built as a Methodist church in the nineteenth century, the restored and adapted structure holds theaters and a reception hall in addition to the gallery and Indiana Landmarks’ headquarters. Free admission.
