Join the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra and Second Presbyterian’s Beecher Singers directed by Dr. Michelle L. Louer in a celebration of this annual Christmas tradition. Hear the entire oratorio performed on Baroque instruments with gut strings, Baroque woodwinds, and natural trumpets. Dr. Louer has chosen to base this performance on the Messiah’s 1742 Dublin premiere. In consideration of the massive crowds that were expected to attend the premiere performance, audience members were asked to leave their hoop skirts and swords at home.
