Celebrate Black History Month with Art & Soul 2019! Art & Soul is a series of free, daily performances and not-to-be-missed events at the Indianapolis Artsgarden. The Kickoff Celebration is February 2, and will feature performances by Kim Kenny, Men in the Fire, Sandy Lomax & Band, and more! Meet Featured Artists: Allison Victory (Voice), Joshua Thompson (Piano), Lalah Hazelwood (Dance), and Shamira Wilson (Visual). The performance series will continue throughout the month of February. All events start at 12:15 pm and are free and open to the public.

Art & Soul, an annual celebration of African American art and artists in Indiana, features a diverse lineup of music, storytelling, dance, and visual art. The Arts Council of Indianapolis is pleased to partner with Asante Children’s Theatre, Indy Jazz Fest, Nicholas Owens Dance Company, and Metropolitan Youth Orchestra to present Art & Soul 2019.
