The musicians of Studio in Bloom are committed to cultivating accessible chamber music performances for families by providing listeners of all ages an opportunity to experience world-class chamber music in a relaxed setting. An ensemble of the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, this core set of artists includes flute, clarinet, harp and cello. Studio in Bloom explores a wide variety of repertoire ranging from beloved favorites to rarely heard gems. Their Fall 2008 debut packed the hall and received a rave review from the Bloomington Herald-Times, “There is talent aplenty in this newly formed ensemble….Themusicians performed the music gorgeously well, every radiantly woven element of it.”

Educational Outreach:

As part of their mission, Studio in Bloom is committed to bringing world class chamber music to listeners of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. They envision bringing classical music to underserved communities and venues, with an emphasis on children. A typical hour-long concert includes the rare opportunity to draw or dance while listening to the music. As excellent professional musicians who fully embrace the mission of Studio in Bloom, they believe in bringing the music to people without expecting them to conform to typical concert hall decorum. Their goal is to bring joy to people’s lives throughclassical chamber music.
