In a world turned upside down by the Holocaust, Anne Frank held on to her faith in humanity. This story of resilience, optimism and a young girl’s extraordinary spirit transcends time and offers hope to today’s world.

APPROXIMATE RUN TIME: 2 hours and 45 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission

The Diary of Anne Frank is a historical drama that contains some adult themes including coming of age during the Holocaust.

The Diary of Anne Frank will run January 25 – February 24
on the IRT OneAmerica Mainstage. Tickets start at $25.

Tickets for all of our productions are available online, as well as through our Ticket Office. The IRT Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 11 AM until 6 PM. On performance days, the Ticket Office will remain open until 30 minutes after the performance begins. When performances fall on Saturday and Sunday, the Ticket Office opens two hours before our first performance and will remain open until 30 minutes after the final performance begins.

Friday, January 25, 2019 – Sunday, February 24, 2019 | Ongoing Lobby Exhibit

Anne Frank: A History for Today presents the history of the Holocaust through the perspective of Anne Frank and her family. Juxtaposing photographs of the Frank family with historical images, the exhibit shows how persecuted people such as the Franks were affected by the political actions of individuals. On display in the Grand Lobby throughout the run of the production, the exhibit is provided by The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect and supported by the Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council.

The Indiana Repertory Theatre’s fifth annual Community Night will celebrate The Diary of Anne Frank, presented by Glick Philanthropies, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Through a partnership with the Indianapolis Jewish Community Relations Council and the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis, there will be a post-show candle lighting ceremony that will feature representatives from a variety of Indianapolis communities as well as readings from Anne Frank’s writing.
