Children ages 5-8 can be a fairy in BTCA’s 2019 production of The Sleeping Beauty! This is a fun way for your child to participate in a classical ballet production with only a two-month time commitment. No prior dance experience is required.
Dancers will participate in the Fairy scene in “The Sleeping Beauty.” Dancers will learn basic ballet technique and enjoy a unique performance experience. This is a good choice for young dancers considering adding ballet as a new activity.
“It’s great to see these children learn and open themselves to new possibilities,” says Jane Hachiya-Weiner, co-Artistic Director of BTCA with her husband Frank Weiner. “They’re thrilled when it’s time to perform and their excitement affects us all.”
BTCA performs ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ May 11 at 7:30 pm and May 12 at 2:00 pm. Both performances will be at Westfield High School Auditorium.
