Join 2019 Eskenazi Health Performer-in-Residence Joshua Thompson along with special special guest artists Lalah Ayan Hazelwood and Vanessa Owens of Kenyetta Dance. This mother daughter duo currently serve as Associate and Artistic Director of Kenyetta Dance Company. Hazelwood is the Arts Council of Indianapolis’ 2019 Art and & Soul featured artist in dance, in addition to being on faculty for the Indiana Ballet Conservatory. Vanessa Owens is a pioneer in the field of dance and proves that beauty, grace and expression have no expiration date!

The collaborative program entitled “Dancing through the Deep South” features works from William Grant Still, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Harry Burleigh and many more. All shows are free and open to the public.
