The works of Hoosier landscape artist William Lawson are exhibited and offered for sale.
William Lawson is a native Hoosier who brings a lushness of color and mood to his preferred subject: landscapes. Lawson’s works depict scenes of historical neighborhoods such as Lockerbie, Woodruff Place and Irvington as well seaside venues from his stay in Seattle, Washington. Lawson was one of the youngest artists to be accepted in the Hoosier Salon and Indiana Heritage Arts, winning top honors in both. In 2006, he was the first artist to receive the Harry A. Davis Award for urban landscape.
This show is his first since his return to Indianapolis. His works will be offered for sale throughout the show at the Bona Thompson Center, but you can meet the artist at the opening reception on April 6th from 6 to 9. Enjoy the venue. Meet the artist. Arrange for a custom painting or purchase one of his displayed works.
Free, donations always appreciated.
