April is National Poetry Month! To celebrate, the Indianapolis Artsgarden presents Poetry in Free Motion, an exhibition and poetry series.
Poetry in Free Motion is a collaboration between quilters and poets. For the 2018-2019 exhibition cycle, the quilters focused on the theme of Transitions and the poets were each assigned a quilt to which they would write a poem in response. Many different kinds of transitions are represented in our exhibit: physical and psychological changes in people, as well as transitions in the world of nature and in the spectrum of colors.
Please join us on all five Mondays in April from 11-noon for a quilt talk and poetry reading by our participants. We will also have a quilting demo on Wednesday, April 3rd from noon to 1pm. The exhibit will be up from Sunday, March 31 to Monday, April 29.
