Creative Writing Camp with Professor Watermelon

Creative Writing Camp with Professor Watermelon

Presented by Indiana Writers Center at Indiana Writers Center

Join the Professor for a weeklong creative writing camp at the Indiana Writers Center. Campers will dream-up new literary worlds while creating memorable characters, exciting plots and clever dialogue. For added inspiration, campers will explore the vast Circle City Industrial Complex for unique story ideas. Each camper will set a goal to complete the first or second draft of a story by the week’s end.

Professor Watermelon (Chadwick Gillenwater) inspires children to use the written word as a joyful way to creatively express themselves. As an experienced school librarian, storyteller and children’s author, Professor Watermelon has the tools to motivate students to build characters, twist plots, and dream-up knew worlds. Professor Watermelon has written three middle grade novels for kids, and he lives in Indianapolis, Indiana.
