Concerts with a Cause at Central presents a Father’s Day Concert featuring members of the Indianapolis Symphony playing music of Johannes Brahms and Andre Previn
Concerts with a Cause at Central presents prominent local musicians in free concerts at Central Christian Church in downtown Indianapolis. The series will present (mostly) newer members of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in a Father’s Day chamber music concert on Sunday, June 16, 2019. The concert begins at 2:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary and features Peiming Lin, Yu Jin, Jung-Hsuan Ko, Roger Roe, Mike Muszynski, and Kent Cook in two chamber music gems – the Andre Previn Trio for oboe, bassoon and piano, and the Johannes Brahms C minor Quartet for piano and strings. Concert admission is free, but donations will be accepted. In addition to supporting the concert series at CCC, proceeds will benefit the Julian Center, which empowers survivors of domestic and sexual violence and works to end the generational cycle of violence in Indiana.
Please see our website http://www.indyccc.org/concerts-with-a-cause-at-central/for a list of partnering organizations, past performers, and a schedule of upcoming events. Central Christian is located at 701 N. Delaware.
