This exhibit features the monochromatic works of Central Indiana artists Jamie Anderson, Susie Blackmore, Gant Haverstick, Kate Homan, Scott Kinzie, Michael McGuire, Alyssa Overton, Radie Steiner, Jennifer Wells and others.
Jamie Anderson / Zionsville / Mixed Media
Working with a variety of painting & printmaking media, Jamie wants to take the observer on a journey~ to move in and out of the artwork with their eyes, noticing changes of color and texture. The work is “done” when the viewer is engaged.
Susie Blackmore / Jamestown / Painting
Susie believes that creativity is at the core of human experience. As an artist on a journey, she enjoys the process of creative exploration and discovery through color, texture, and the heart. Inspiration for her abstract works can come from almost anywhere.
Gant Haverstick / Fishers / Photography
Grant’s photography is informed by his work as a video editor at the Indianapolis TV station WRTV and his love of travel & poetry.
Kate Homan / Indianapolis / Painting
Kate explores a variety of subjects, but favorites include nature and literature. In all of her pieces, Kate hopes to begin stories for someone to walk into and make their own.
Scott Kinzie / Jamestown / Photography
Scott Kinzie was hooked on photography as a teenager by the Polaroid camera. Later, during a career as a plant biologist, he spent hours in rural areas of Indiana and his interest and passion for nature and wildlife photography grew over a “working lifetime”.
Michael McGuire / Noblesville / Painting
Michael discovered his hidden talent for art at an Aphasia support group at Butler University after a brain hemorrhage. Michael’s colorful paintings are an expression of his perseverance, love of life and a deep faith in Christ.
Alyssa Overton / Greenwood / Pencil Drawing
Alyssa believes that variety is truly the spice of life! She uses many different mediums to capture the things that she loves and to share the beauty with others.
Radie Steiner / Indianapolis / Photography
Radie believes beauty is everywhere and that photography has the power to capture people and things that make her truly happy and to share those with others.
Jennifer Wells / Frankfort / Photography
Nature has always captivated Jennifer. The black and white treatment of the usually colorful blooms helps the viewer to see the subject in a new way.
