About the music: Strange and Sacred Noise is a piece for percussion quartet that reflects on the oscillating episodes of stillness and violence in nature. Using a large battery of instruments, including tam-tams, vibraphones, and snare drums, Adams gives voice to the many moods of nature.

About the musicians: Aaron Butler is a percussionist and teacher from Athens, OH who has played and toured modern classical music extensively for the last 7 years. Corey Denham is the percussionist of local chamber outfit Forward Motion, and is the percussion instructor at IUPUI. Parker James is a vibraphone wizard and percussion teacher based in Indianapolis. Ryan Garrett is a performer hailing from Athens, OH.
