Writing presents the opportunity to delve into our personal narratives and find the links and connections that sculpt our identity. Events and moments in life make up who we are in the world, how we see the world, and how we interact with it. It can be fascinating, insightful, challenging, and perhaps even transformative to look at the story lines of our lives, exploring “what” and “who” has shaped us; and how the shape of our personal narrative has changed over time. Through readings and writing exercises, this interactive poetry workshop will invite participants to explore their own deep stories by giving voice to the themes, people and places that shaped their becoming and unbecoming.
