This art exhibition and panel discussion will explore the need for a revolution in the criminal justice system—a system that has evolved to focus on punishment rather than rehabilitation. Joining in the discussion will be criminal justice policy experts, prison ministry workers, and individuals affected by the prison system.
They will explore the history of America’s criminal justice system, the economic and racial impact of incarceration, as well as the role religion has played both inside the system and in wider society, in shaping community values as they relate to the criminal justice system.
The event is presented by the ACLU of Indiana, Goodwill-New Beginnings, Newfields, Kheprw Institute, and Public Advocates in Community Re-entry (PACE) Indy.
