The Park Tudor Fine Arts Department proudly presents Philip Dawkins’s play: Failure: A Love Story.
UPPER SCHOOL FALL PLAY: Failure: A Love StoryBy Philip Dawkins
PERFORMANCES: NOVEMBER 1,2 & 3, 2019
Time is running out, time is of the essence, and time is ticking away. Whichever way you look at it, Phillip Dawkin’s bold script will spring to life in this magical, musical, fable where, in the end, the power of love is far greater than anyone’s success for failures. Tuneful songs and a whimsical chorus follow the story of Nelly, Jenny June, and Gerty Fail as they live out their lives above the family clock repair shop near the Chicago River… before their time unexpectedly runs out. Our ensemble cast will use improv and clowning skills to bring the Fail family’s stories to life.
Look out for original student music, arranged and conducted by our cast. The ambitious production design of the 25′ rotating stage will wow the audience, which was created in collaboration with Technical Theatre and Math students. Finally, the playbill, poster, and promo materials are designed by students in the graphic design course.
