Don’t miss our annual color-themed holiday group show Friday, December 6! Also that night, new work by Katie Pourcho, the Harrison Center’s holiday pop up shop and the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange Winter Show.
Friday, December 6, from 6 to 10pm the Harrison Center asks the question, Do Millenials Still Like Pink? This year’s color-themed holiday group show features blushing work from dozens of local artists in the Harrison Gallery and Gallery Annex.
The INDIEana Handicraft Exchange’s Winter Show fills the gymnasium and Underground with their juried show of modern craft vendors just in time for holiday shopping.
This season for the second year, the City Gallery is transformed into a holiday pop up shop filled with work from our own Harrison Center studio artists. The shop opens on First Friday, but is also open Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 throughout the month for holiday shoppers’ convenience.
Katie Pourcho’s work will be featured in Hank & Dolly’s Gallery. Pourcho, who teaches K-2 art in the Danville school system, was recently named Indiana Teacher of the Year.
First Friday attendees can grab a complimentary coffee in the courtyard, then head around the building for the 5th Annual Holiday Window Tour. Artists have transformed the 22 ground level windows with winter-themed vignettes. The Harrison Center is home to 36 artists whose studios are open in December. This month is the final open studio night of 2019 and guests can wander the building and meet the makers who call the Harrison Center home.December exhibits hang through December 27.
