The Philharmonic Orchestra will play a concert of Beethoven, Mussorgsky, Thefanidia, and Walker at Pike Performing Arts Center on Saturday, November 23, 2019.
As the season of change is upon us, the Philharmonic’s concert on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at 7:30 PM helps us celebrate the warmth of friendship and family.
The concert program includes Beethoven’s King Stephen Overture, Opus 117, George Walker’s Lyric for Strings, and Christopher Theofanidis’ Rainbow Body.
Completing the program is Modest Mussorgsky’s masterpiece, Pictures at an Exhibition, in the first orchestral arrangement of Mussorgsky’s 1874 piano suites by Mikhail Tushmalov. Mussorgsky created this work as a tribute to his late friend, architect and artist Viktor Hartmann.
Ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $5 for students.
