Your work will be read (usually by professional actors who join the class), and you will be part of supportive community of writers who will help you develop your work, and make suggestions for ways to improve it. Come one, come all.
Okay, you’ve taken the Foundations class….now what? You understand the basic elements of narrative construction and know how to use them….mostly. You’ve written at least one short play, maybe you want to write more. Maybe you have an idea for a one act or even a full-length play. At least, you have an idea you want to develop, or you may even have some pages. And you think you could use some support to stay on track during the writing process and get some feedback as you go. This workshop is for you!
Over the eight-session workshop, you will be expected to bring in new pages every week. Your work will be read (usually by professional actors who join the class for fun and participate in the feedback), and you will be part of supportive community of writers who will help you develop your work, and make suggestions for ways to improve it. Come one, come all.
Eight sessions over eight weeks, with classes tailored to meet the needs of the student playwright and the phase he or she is in with the development of a specific play or work.
