Franz Schubert’s greatest song cycle, “Winterreise,” will be performed in its entirety by guest artist DavidMichael Schuster, former leading tenor with the Bavarian State Opera, and Butler collaborative pianist Michael Scherperel. Schubert wrote of these songs, “They please me more than all the rest.” Dr. Clare Carrasco, Coordinator of the Music History area at the School of Music, will provide opening remarks. The concert is free and open to the public.
