This modern adaptation of a classic Russian play will feature cinematic technology to bridge the gap between film and theatre, bringing you a show unlike any other.
Experience theatre like never before with Character House Theatre Company’s live cinema performance of Anton Chekhov’s classic piece, “Uncle Vanya.” Adapted by Director Corbin Fritz, the play is set in the 1940’s at the estate of a wealthy professor. His late first wife’s family runs the estate, including her brother, Vanya. As the professor and his second wife return to the estate, the house quickly turns to chaos. Feelings of futility, mundanity, and unrequited love must be overcome as each family member seeks the answer everyone is looking for: what’s the point of it all, anyway?
This live cinema production features elements of live theatre as well as cinematic technology to create one unique show unlike any other.
Trigger warning: this production will feature themes of suicidal thoughts.
Tickets are $18 each. Military, senior, and student discount tickets are $15 each.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door on the day of the performance.
