Award winning Indianapolis printmaker James Hubbard will display current monotypes and mixed media works from his “Surf & Reef”, “American West” & “Secret Garden” folios. Hubbard focuses on creative process where imagery evolves through experimentation, discovery and poetry. Decorative pattern, alluring texture, and saturated color layers are central to his work. Subjects are not tethered to gravity. Work remains on display throughout February & March 2020 during Circle Center Industrial Complex exhibition hours: First Fridays from 6-9pm and select Saturdays from 11 am -4 pm.

This is an opportunity for the Indianapolis community to view and buy both old and new work by an established Central Indiana artist of note. Hubbard’s works are widely collected and can be found in the permanent collections of Syracuse University Art Galleries (NY), Arkansas State University Bradbury Gallery, Anderson Museum of Art, and the Frankfort Community Public Library as well as many private collections.
