The Eiteljorg Museum’s newest exhibition, Please Touch! The Sculptures of Michael Naranjo, opens on Saturday, Jan. 18. Michael Naranjo (Santa Clara Pueblo) is a prolific and talented Native American sculptor. He began sculpting after losing his sight while serving in Vietnam. While most exhibitions do not allow visitors to touch the art on display, Naranjo’s exhibition encourages visitors to experience the sculpture in multi-sensory ways — including touch, audio descriptions and video of Naranjo working.
