Singer-Songwriter
Joilyn Martin | Penny English. One in the same person, but she has quite a few musical worlds she grows from. Her goal is to take the audience through a soul felt, auditory experience.
The first half will feature a classical string lead performance with the help of two of her three brothers. The second half of the show will be exclusively Penny and her electric guitar, performing soul/rock/funk originals and covers. The performance will be a nod to the beloved month of February being Black History Celebration and an ode to the date of the performance, being a holiday of love, Valentines Day.
The Arts Council of Indianapolis celebrates Black History Month with a series of free, daily performances and not-to-be-missed events at the Indianapolis Artsgarden.
This is the 24th year of the Art & Soul celebration, which runs from February 1 – 29, 2020.
