Enchanted Tales is two one-act ballets that transports you into another world with stunning costumes, magnificent sets, timeless music and spectacular dancing.
Join Ballet Theater of Carmel for a Mother’s Day weekend filled with love and magic. Enchanted Tales is the perfect outing for multiple generations to share a special Mother’s Day treat. The Firebird, Act I, will transport you into the magical realm of Russian folktales with Stravinsky’s classical ballet. This is the story of a powerful spirit bird whose magical feathers convey beauty and protection, and the heroic Prince Ivan Tsarevich who must rescue the princess he loves from the evil sorcerer Kashchei.
The Little Mermaid, Act II, will take you on an enchanted journey deep into the ocean with an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale. This is the dramatic tale of two contrasting worlds, love and resilience of the spirit, and a young mermaid who will do anything she can to live a human life.
Tickets may be purchased online at the website listed below for the Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, performances. Times of the performances will be determined closer to the performance days due to the current health situation. Ticket prices are sold as adult, student, and seniors. A discount is given to students and seniors. Tickets will also be sold at the door, if available, on both the Saturday and Sunday performances.
