“And how should we behave during this Apocalypse? We should be unusually kind to one another, certainly.” -Kurt Vonnegut

Now more than ever we need to come together to write. This will be an opportunity to reflect as we are adjusting to life in our quarantines. Writing helps us cope, it helps us understand, it gives us a place to express ourselves.

On Mondays, Sarah Ginter will present writing prompts and sprints to help you capture your personal pandemic experience, creating “field notes” for further writing, as well as invaluable material for family members and future historians who will want to be able to understand what this time was like.

On Thursdays, Barbara Shoup will present prompts and sprints that will provide the opportunity to reflect on experiences in your life that brought you to this moment and consider their significance in how you’re coping now and how you’ll face the aftermath of this long, difficult quarantine.

The class will be writing intensive, with opportunities for sharing and discussion at the end of each session.

Join us for 8 sessions throughout the month of April to write together.

If you are a member and would like to enroll, please send Sarah Ginter an email so she can put you on the roster to receive the Zoom login information each week: sarah@indianawriters.org
