About Mike Lamirand
Mike has four decades of theatre experience. During most of his career, he has been employed in technical direction and production management. Additionally, Mike has designed hundreds of sets and light plots, acted in and directed dozens of plays, while also playing in a variety of bands. However, theatre sound design has always been his favorite. Realistically, anything to do with audio is his true passion. Mike fell in love with playing and recording music while still in high school—using two cassette tape recorders and a DJ mixer to ‘bounce’ tracks of himself playing music with himself. In 2019, Mike opened SounDudeStudio.com, a home recording studio,in an effort to utilize his 40 years of recording/engineering expertise to record local artists. Mike is also Sound Designer for Dance Kaleidoscope and has designed five shows for Phoenix Theatre since moving into their new space in 2018.
