Evening of Poetry with Felix Medina.

Felix is a Mexican immigrant, living in Indiana since 2006. He holds a BA in Latin-American Literature from the University of Ciudad Juarez, located in the state of Chihuahua, in Mexico. Felix will be reading some of his own poems, and some poetic pieces from other authors.
Some of his Awards and Honors from being involved in Literature are:
Certificate of outstanding performance as Mexican Literature Student Advisor
Numerous poems and film reviews published in Border, cultural review magazine;

Student Manager, National Student Literature Congress
Certificate of recognition, two-month workshop on “Contemporary Spanish Literature: Juan José Millás”

SIN FRONTERAS Documentary, Co-producer. This is a film about the history of Art in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Mayo Más Mexicano is a series of virtual talks and performances during the month of May, the purpose is to celebrate some aspects of the Mexican arts and culture. This series is curated by Arte Mexicano en Indiana and lead by Mexican and Mexican-Americans artists, and arts fans of the Mexican Culture.

This event series is funded by the Arts Council of Indianapolis, Big Car Collaborative , WQRT, Nopal Cultural and artist donors.
With Community partners Mujeres Conectadas de Indy, Casillero Deportivo, La Margarita Restaurant, Michel Trahyn, & Meztli Cultural.
