Elizabeth Vazquez is an elementary school teacher at Global Prep Academy, from Michoacán México. Her passion for teaching Spanish has brought her to the United State to share the importance of a bilingual education and her beloved Mexican culture.

Patricia Altamirano
Tampiqueña. “Ms. Paty”, as most of her students know her, has a history of 16 years as an educator in different countries, including Egypt and Guatemala, where she has also participated with different cultural and educational institutions to promote the Spanish language, art , the Mexican culture and traditions. Ms. Patricia is currently part of the multicultural team of teachers at Global Preparatory Academy @ Riverside 44: The Dual Language School “in Indianapolis, IN

Ahtziri Roman is part of the family and engagement team at Global Prep Academy, originally born in Chicago, Illinois. Her love for her Mexican roots has sparked her passion of sharing her roots with others through writing, art, and dance.

Mayo Más Mexicano
Mayo Más Mexicano is a series of virtual talks and performances during the month of May, the purpose is to celebrate some aspects of the Mexican arts and culture. This series is curated by Arte Mexicano en Indiana and led by Mexican and Mexican-Americans artists, and arts fans of the Mexican Culture.

This event series is funded by the Arts Council of Indianapolis, Big Car Collaborative, 99.1 WQRT FM, Nopal Cultural and artist donors.
With Community partners Mujeres Conectadas en Indy, Casillero Deportivo, La Margarita Restaurant & Tequila Bar, Michel Trahyn, and Meztli-Cultural de Indianapolis.
