The Vote Virtual Screeing

The Vote Virtual Screeing

Presented by WFYI Public Broadcasting at Online/Virtual Space

Ever wonder how women got the right to vote? Want to learn about how Indiana was part of that fight? Join WFYI for an advanced screening of the two-part American Experience | PBS documentary “The Vote,” before it airs on July 6. We will be watching 60 minutes of the program.

We’ll also give you a sneak peek at WFYI’s “Headstrong” series, featuring women from Indiana who were at the forefront of securing rights for Hoosier women. This series of shorts explores their time, their beliefs and their impact — expanding voting, land and economic rights, and using philanthropy and activism to shape their world. “Headstrong” is made possible with support from PNC Bank.

This virtual screening will include a chat, polls, and more so you can feel like we are in-person together! We will be using OVEE, a web-based platform for this screening. All that you’ll need is an internet connection.

This event is FREE but requires registration. A link to the screening will be sent 30 minutes before the event starts. You must register for the event in order to receive a link for the screening.

Tuesday, June 30 7:00 PM

WFYI has partnered with Indiana Humanities and the Indianapolis Propylaeum on this event.

Can’t join us for the preview screening? Make sure to tune-in on July 6 and 7 at 9:00 PM for the broadcast premiere on WFYI.
