Virtual First Friday: Spectrum III

Virtual First Friday: Spectrum III

Presented by Garfield Park Arts Center and Indy Pride, Inc. at Online/Virtual Space

🏳️‍🌈 Spectrum III is a celebration of LGBTQ+ artists in Indiana. Head to the GPAC website and browse through our online gallery exhibit featuring several local artists. Spectrum III Exhibition will open on September 4th. The exhibit will be up all month long so guests can view and purchase local artwork!

📲 Check out our first-ever live stream First Friday show hosted by teaching and spoken word artist, Devon Ginn, taking place 6:30-7:30 PM.

Our first featured artist is vocalist and writer, Okara Imani. Imani’s sound is influenced by Jazz, Funk, Alternative, and Punk. For this Friday Performance, her set is an expression of self echoed from voices I admire, this performance is a collection of shared human experiences in introspection, retrospection, and acceptance.

We are excited to have dancer, teaching artist, and the Executive Director of Indianapolis Movement Arts Collective, Lauren Curry as one of our featured artists. Curry will premier an original work titled, “Gaslight 2020,” a short comedy film about the terrors of working from home.

Our third feature artist is Mae-Mae Han, Indianapolis born and raised singer-songwriter. She fuses her experience as a classical viola player and her love for song writing in the indie pop genre.

🍻 Join us for a Virtual Brewery conversation with taproom manager Josh Haines from the Garfield Brewery. Head over and grab a growler or walkie before the event to enjoy during the live stream.

🤩 Special interviews and appearances by Indiana Pride of Color, Indy Pride, and GPAC staff.
