Charlie Ballantine is an Indianapolis-based guitarist, recording artist and educator whose playing has been described by JAZZIZ Magazine as “both beautiful and complex” and “Teeming with intricate grooves and maniacal precision.” He also has been featured in DownBeat and JazzTimes magazines and played headlining sets at the Northwest Jazz Festival, Indianapolis Jazz Festival and Winnipeg International Jazz Festival. Recent albums have included Life Is Brief: The Music of Bob Dylan and Cold Coffee. His brand-new release, Vonnegut, is inspired by the works of Indianapolis author Kurt Vonnegut.
