Gelli Print Play with DG House (Cherokee of NE Alabama)

Gelli Print Play with DG House (Cherokee of NE Alabama)

at Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art

Discover the fun of monotype printmaking (a unique, one of a kind print) using acrylic inks, stencils and gelli plates. Montana artist DG House will provide instruction and lots of inspiration. In-person attendance will be limited for the health of everyone.

DG House was born in 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio. A family passion for camping introduced House to the rural landscapes of Ohio where her life-long love for the environment and wildlife developed. Fulfilling a lifelong dream, House arrived in Yellowstone Park in the summer of 1981. It was here her native heritage and deep abiding love for the people, landscapes and wildlife came together.

DG House’s paintings are contemporary expressions of native people and wildlife of the rocky mountain west. Not willing to settle for romantic clichés, House is a risk taker presenting outstanding compositions, layered with symbolism and a deep spirituality. DG House’s work has been exhibited around the country.
