Actors know all too well that environment changes our identity and how we respond, but how do we marry our intention with movement and how it’s expressed? In this class we’ll explore and experiment with how movement can change based on our emotion and how Musical Theater dance is a powerful tool of expression and how it is used to support and propel the scene.

About the Instructor
Justin Sears-Watson is a very accomplished dancer, teacher and choreographer. He began his professional career in Chicago after studying at Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. From there he has been a company member at Giordano and Thodos Dance Chicago. In 2012, Justin moved to Indianapolis where he spent six seasons dancing with Dance Kaleidoscope while teaching at prestigious dance studios around the city. He is now the Artistic Director of Phoenix Rising Dance Studios and Phoenix Rising Dance Company. He also continues to teach at the Collegiate level at Indiana University and Butler University, as well as for Arts for Learning.
